Project “Generation Link”

Project “Generation Link” originated as a travel diary during visits to various Asian countries such as the Philippines, Indonesia, India, and more. The concept to capture the faces of elderly individuals emerged upon the realization that contemporary travel often falls short of expectations to encounter genuine diversity and uniqueness. The younger generation, shaped by globalization and social media, tends to adopt similar music, clothing, and beauty standards. The awareness of losing the beauty of diversity and nuanced variety propelled the decision to memorialize and document the distinct world that is undergoing a process of extinction. “Generation Link” seeks to preserve the rich tapestry of uniqueness in the faces and stories of the older generation, countering the homogenizing effects of modern influences.
